Did you know that 1/3 of all giving happens in December? And, 10% of all giving is raised in the last three day of the year?

Planning early for the end of year helps provide strategy and momentum to your organization’s campaign. In prepping for the months ahead, it is helpful to review the previous year’s end of year giving successes:

• How much was raised during year-end giving last year?

• How many donors gave last year and what was the average gift amount?

• Are the donors who gave last year still engaged with your organization?

• What does your new donor pipeline look like compared to last year?

• What strategies were used last year, and were these strategies successful?

• How did you thank your donors and was your stewardship effective?

Lastly, consider how your organization is doing philanthropically this fiscal year and what percent are you away from your annual goal?
